Good food, great prices, and wonderful service!Portions are generous and the atmosphere is lovely. And it’s a Springtown staple!
Small Town, old school charm.. exactly what you expect from a hometown diner. Forget the looks of the place the people and the food are what make this place a 5 Cafe. All the staff are nice, quick witted, and helpful, but don't sass them or you'll be put in your place.Food is well priced. Chicken fried steak and eggs was huge and come with a side of 2 or 3 eggs, hashbrows and a biscuit and side of gravy. They also have one without breading and both are excellent tasting and well made. When I tell you that they made perfect eggs I mean it. It's probably been 5 years since any place you very done over medium eggs right and these were perfect.Lovely place to stop, eat, and chat with people. Like we all used to before we took our phones everywhere.
Fantastic food and friendly service
Good home style cooking. Friendly staff. Reasonably prices. It's just an overall great place!
I was blessed with the sudden appearance of my mother-in-law and this place helped us out a bunch. Our server was prompt and had the whole menu memorized down and even the daily specials. She was able to answer every question and took the time to grab us any side items (napkins, ketchup, refills etc) as quickly as she could get to on her rounds of handling multiple tables in her section.Food was very well prepared and you can taste the homemade recipe in the meal. In my own opinion the cream gravy that was not overly salty as I’ve had in other diners, which we appreciate so we can salt it to our liking. We ordered chicken fried steak, catfish basket, kids grilled cheese and a 2egg breakfast hash bowl.I would’ve preferred my hash crispier but it was under a heaping pile of eggs and gravy smothering some biscuits that I ate every bite of so still great regardless.Catfish came with a large amount of fries and two sides so be hungry. The C.F. Steak was tenderized and the batter didn’t break or fall apart. Also the meat was about the size of half the plate, and the biscuits were so flavorful. We also ordered a plain waffle but it was very plain and heavy/dense, but we might have just been full from our own meals.Price is very good as most things are about 5 and for the grandma-style cooking you get, you can’t beat it.If the entree took a little time to come out the kitchen it’s because they brought it out the second it came off the stove, you can still hear things sizzling and feel the heat from the first bite.I have had the water and it has a heavier taste to it, but I have hard water in my house so it’s not too bad but I suggest getting tea or a soda.
I had the catfish special. It was delicious with 2 sides, I chose baked beans and a sweet potato, and those were the BEST and our waitress, please forgive me as I don't remember her name was the BEST with our party of 7!!! This restaurant, the food, and you can even enjoy breakfast, have the employees, and are truly the BEST, try it, and y'all will give them 5 stars like I did
Great food.I had a Western Omelet and was so delicious. Especially the ham, it was diced and didn't have any fat in it. So good.Service was fast and waitress was very polite.
